These are the best words for introducing the parade of Grazzano which merges the visitors in the midst of the Italian Renaissance.

A short history:

The parade is a historical re-enactment of the celebrations for the wedding of Valentina Visconti.
To honour the beautiful Valentina Visconti travelling toward France to marry the Duke of Orleans, on the last Sunday of May 1389 the lord of Grazzano decorated the village and, to appoint the members of her escort, arranged a joust.
After six centuries this celebration still charms the visitors.
