From March to July 2022, the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta hosted the spectacular exhibition on the patronage of the Farnese family.
The exhibition presents over 300 works from Italian and foreign collections.
A heterogeneous exhibition that creates a vision of paintings, drawings and objects never brought together before.

Works in perfect harmony with the Pilotta complex.

A bit of history:
Dynasty of very ancient origins.
They governed the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza (1545÷1731) and the Duchy of Castro (1537÷1649).
They were great patrons of the arts, collecting and commissioning various works known as the Farnese collection, one of the most important in Italy and Europe during the Renaissance period.

A note:
we divided the exhibition into three specials, two largely dedicated to the works on display and the third to a performance we attended in the splendid Farnese theatre.
