Certainly you could arrive to the upper castle by car trough the asphalt road that from Marostica leads there.

But, in the beautiful spring afternoon, why should we give up the suggestive views we could enjoy from the steep quiet path climbing from the Chess Square to the high walls?

Step by step, with the Chess Square always in full view, among cypresses and olive trees, in about an hour, depending on the breath and on the breaks you take to admire the landscape beneath, you could reach the castle.

From here the view widens on the Veneto plain, on the right the Berici and Euganei Hills and the Montello, at the rear the green slopes climbing up to the Asiago plateau.

It is likely that in the particularly clear days the sight gazes into the distance as far as the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines.
