With a surface of 14.8 acre, is, without any doubt, one of the most beautiful open-air museums in Europe.
The visit makes clear how the rural life went on in the past.

The heart of the museum is the baroque manor house Mair am Hoff, built in 1690 and surrounded by about 20 original “masi” (farmer houses) rebuilt in the museum with their authentic fittings.

The visitor can return to the past, admiring several tools, farm implements, gardens and farm animals.
Of course there is also the squeaking wheel of a water mill.

Thanks to the wonderful photos of our friend Nadia we can, at least with these virtual images, go back to the past.
However a suggestion: don’t forget to go there.

The museum opens from Spring to Autumn.
