Paus museum
(San Daniele Po (CR) - Lombardia)

We arrived in San Daniele Po almost by chance, while we were exploring the flat Lombardy plain on the edge of the Po.
Driving along Provincial Road 85, which runs through the town, we were struck by a metal rhinoceros facing a building that looked like a school.
We had the pleasant surprise of discovering the 'paleo-anthropological museum of the Po'.
A small museum perfectly ordered and extremely well maintained.
Mainly dedicated to the Great River, from which most of the finds come, it is divided into 4 sections

- the evolution of man
- the fossils of the plain
- the Neanderthal plain (the main section)
- the carnivores of the Po

A small museum that we recommend visiting and certainly worthy of a diversion.

A bit of history:
Founded by the G.N.P. Gruppo Naturalistico Palentofilo and the municipality of San Daniele Po in 1998, it represents an ‘unicum’ in the historical and cultural panorama of the province of Cremona.
