Thanks to our friend Francesca we introduce to you two Sardinian towns: Tratalias Vecchia (in the province of Carbonia Iglesias) and Sardara (in the province of Medio Campidano).
Two towns and surroundings to be absolutely visited.

Tratalias:

A town built twice: until 1954 it was a prosperous town encircling the Romanesque Church of S: Maria in Monserrato, but in that year a dam built on the Rio Palmas caused seepages of waters which damaged the constructions, forcing the people to rebuild the village nearby.
The medieval center and the Romanesque church have been restored so we can’t consider it abandoned: on the contrary the people take care of that buildings representing their past and opens them to the visitors.

Sardara:

It is an important agricultural and thermal center.
In its territory there are many testimonies of the people that once inhabited the area.
Among the most important archeological sites we mention the Nuraghic sacred well temple of Saint Anastasia standing next to the church of Saint Anastasia where we can find a Nuraghic daily-use well.
Nearby there are ruins of a Nuraghic village with the remains of 5 huts: this important village originated the present-day Sardara.
We remember that, in addition to this suggestive town, in the surroundings there are about 30 important Nuraghic sites.
