We leave the bright colors of the summer [see], the green of the meadows, of the larches and of the pines, the blaze of color of the flowers: what remains is the clear blue of the sky that brings out the contrast of the colors when the snow blankets the woods and the pastures.
This charming and mysterious atmosphere is, quite a nonsense, warm and soft as the snow that softens even the sharpest corners.

Another advice, maybe useless for the lovers of the mountains: beyond the due respect, remember the “mountain” does not spare the madcaps, and in winter less than in summer.
You have always to ask for information to the local institutions (Foresters, APT, Guides…) about the paths and the weather.

Too bad the refuge "al Fontanin" is closed in winter.
A tasty cake proprietary to breakfast before heading out in the muffled silence or to return a hot punch would be, as they say, "the icing on the cake"
